Haiti needs all the help that they can get
Folks that are enthusiastic about working with a nonprofit organization in order to help Haitians revive their communities and build a brighter future have a new volunteer opportunity. As an example, the non profit seeking volunteers and donations for creating a solar-powered center for satellite Net access and PC use and learning.
Many volunteers provide precious, life-saving services. But Haiti wants volunteers that may raise the helpful capacity inside Haitian communities over the long run. The location is a rustic mountain community that has no electric grid and no public Net access. Volunteers are required who have experience in info technology, computer learning, and satellite Web technology.
The volunteers will help plan and set up solar, satellite and computer systems and supply onsite coaching. Volunteers are selected for 2 other projects. In one project, scholars of a culinary college and their instructors will be taught food-safety methods to be used when cooking for giant numbers of folk. In another project, highschool scholars will learn how to be first responders on public health issues, and a medical team will conduct a hospital for folks locally. The projects are built to attain categorical goals voiced by the people of the community.
The range of future projects includes community health, sanitation, education, work, environmental protection, infrastructure, transport, disaster readiness and sustainable business development. Haiti is the least wealthy country in the Western Hemisphere. Haitians have low expectancy, countless lingering health concerns, insufficient food production and grim environmental threats.
